Downtown Fort Lauderdale has become one of the most desirable places to live in the country. Downtown has become an in-demand destination for people of all ages, especially young professionals and families. The downtown population has doubled over the last 10 years. Now, more residents between the ages of 25 and 34 live in downtown than are over the age of 55. With an average household income of about $150,000 and about two-thirds of residents having a bachelor’s or graduate degree, Downtown Fort Lauderdale is an emerging talent hub.
The city continues to emerge as leading residential hub with more than 48 residential developments planned.
