Based on similar levels of economic impact and foot traffic, DowntownFTL, Port Everglades, and the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport are all essential economic engines to the South Florida region.

In 2022, both DowntownFTL and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport are projected to have annual foot traffic in excess of 30 million people. Economic Impact
DowntownFTL has an annual economic impact of about $30 billion. This is of comparable value to the airport and Port Everglades. Combined, these three economic engines have an impact of about $100 Billion on Broward County and the South Florida Region.
